Aka Moses in a boat.  A vibrant tropical perennial native to Mexico, Belize, and Guatemala. It is highly valued for its striking sword-shaped leaves that are dark green on top with a brilliant purple underside, often growing in a dense rosette pattern. The plant earns its biblical nickname from the tiny white flowers that bloom throughout the year, nestled within purple boat-shaped bracts at the base of the leaves.
