Puya berteroniana - 4"
Puya berteroniana, also known as Turquoise Puya or Blue Puya, is a striking terrestrial bromeliad admired for its unique appearance and vibrant blooms. This species is native to the coastal mountains of Chile, where it thrives in arid, high-altitude conditions. It is often found growing on north-facing rocky exposures between 500 and 2000 meters above sea level. The plant is well-adapted to its harsh environment and can tolerate temperatures down to 15-20°F (approx. -9 to -7°C). In areas prone to frost, it's recommended to protect young plants during their first year or two.
