Maxillaria tenuifolia, also known as the coconut orchid, is a species of orchid native to Mexico and Central America. It is a popular orchid due to its fragrant flowers that smell like coconut. The coconut orchid typically blooms in the spring and summer, producing small, red flowers with a yellow lip. The flowers are long-lasting and can last for several weeks.
