Hibiscus tiliaceus 'Variegated' - 4"
Hibiscus tiliaceus 'Variegated' - 4"
Aka Variegated Hibiscus Tree, Sea Hibiscus, Variegated Mahoa tree. If you've been to Hawai'i, you'll likely see these and wonder what is this kaleidoscope of colors! The beautiful Variegated Mahoe Tree is a common landscape specimen in tropical regions such as Hawaii or Florida. It’s mainly grown for its large, variegated, heart-shaped leaves that are green and white with touches of red on the new growth. Blooming in the summertime, small flowers open yellow in the morning and turn red by the afternoon, and similar to the tropical hibiscus, the flowers only last one day.
