Ficus johannis ssp. afghanistanica, also known as the Afghan Fig, is a hardy shrub or small tree native to mountainous regions of northern India, western Iran, and Afghanistan. Ovate to heart-shaped, deeply lobed and toothed, resembling maple leaves. Can be grown outdoors in zone 7+.
