Ficus elastica  aka Rubber fig.  A dark burgundy tree native to SE Asia prized for it's latex sap used to make latex and rubber.  While it may become a big tree when planted outside, they make great indoor houseplants.  Their thick rubber leaves and ease of care makes them a great beginner's plant as well as low maintenance for office or businesses to add some "greenery".

  • Soil: organic mix
  • Water: allow to slightly dry between watering
