You know it's cousin, the flowering Amaryllis during the winter Holidays.  Native to South Africa, this slow growing bulb (caudex) can grow up to 24" in diameter.  The foliage is glue-green and grows in a striking fan shape and sometimes with undulated (wavy) leaves.

Blooms in spring/summer then foliage emerges so you get 2 amazing views during the year.

  • Light: sun
  • Soil: cactus mix (acidic)
  • Water: allow to dry between watering.  Withhold water during dormancy
  • Fertilizer: slow release during growing season

Available in 4" nursery container (seed grown)
