Sinningia leucotricha - 2" (rescue)

$ 3.00

Sinningia leucotricha, also known as the Brazilian Edelweiss, is a unique and captivating succulent plant native to Brazil.

The plant features a large, roundish caudex (swollen stem base) covered in silvery-white hairs, giving it a velvety and fuzzy look. The leaves are also covered in these fine hairs, adding to its overall ethereal beauty. The caudex serves as a water storage organ, allowing the plant to withstand dry periods.

Sinningia leucotricha produces tall, tubular flowers in vibrant shades of orange or red. These blossoms emerge from the top of the caudex and create a striking contrast against the silvery foliage. The flowers typically appear in the summer or fall.

  • Allow to go dormant in winter.
  • Light: bright indirect
  • Soil: succulent mix
  • Water: keep slightly moist with moderate humidity
  • Fertilizer: spring

Available as a rescue plant in 2" nursery container.  May be dormant.
