Stapelia hirsuta, also known as the African starfish flower or carrion flower, is a fascinating succulent native to South Africa. The plant has green, four-sided (quadrangular) stems with toothed edges and rounded tops. ts most striking feature is its large, star-shaped flowers, typically 4-6 inches across, that appear in late summer to early fall.
