Astrophytum myriostigma var. nudum - 4"
Astrophytum myriostigma var. nudum* (Bishop's Cap) is a spineless cactus with a spherical or columnar stem that can grow up to 3.3 ft (1 m) tall and 4 in (10 cm) in diameter. The stem has 3–8 ribs, usually 5, that give the plant a star shape, similar to a bishop's miter. The stem is smooth and can be bright green, blue-green, gray-green, or mauve-green, depending on the clone. The plant has pale yellow flowers that bloom in the spring or early summer, and each flower lasts about 2 days.
