Asplenium bulbiferum - 4"
Asplenium bulbiferum, also commonly known as the Mother Spleenwort or Hen and Chicken Fern, is a fascinating fern native to New Zealand and parts of Australia.
Its most distinctive feature is its unique reproductive method. Small plantlets, or bulbils, form on the upper surface of the fronds. When these bulbils mature, they drop off and can root themselves to form new ferns, hence the common names "Mother Spleenwort" and "Hen and Chicken Fern."
